As regular readers of my blog know, I was amazed to find out that the Pasadena police uses old military helicopters to protect its citizen. Now I'm even more amazed to find out that they have purchased a BearCat armored vehicle. I found out this little tidbit from Pasadena PIO (click here for more info and picture). So is Pasadena preparing for an explosion of zombies or something? WTF.

Dal Rae -- perfect time capsule back into the 1950s: steak Diane, cherries jubilee, Caesar salad done á table, and potent, potent martinis!
Dean Sin World -- happy dumplings served by happy people (and their pastries are so nummy)!
Apple Pan -- love their strawberry pie... :)
Seongbukdong -- my favorite Korean restaurant bar none. Mmmm.....even in Korea it'd be hard to beat.
Places I can't stay away from: Oinkster and Langers. Oinkster has the best chilli fries!
Xiang Wei Lou -- their spicy steamed fish is out of this world, a taste of true gourmet Hunan cooking!
Musso & Frank -- martinis! martinis! martinis!
Milk -- good food, great drinks, staff who are nice AND efficient, great name! (And you CAN get milk -- strawberry, chocolate, and regular.)
Father's Office has the best beers.
Mozza has the best wines.
The Koreatown Plaza's food court is so much fun!
The Griddle Cafe's French toasts are FAT. And Good.
I prefer Astro Burger over Fat Burger, although Fat Burger's onion rings are the second best I've had in LA thus far (Original Tops is the best). The best onion rings I've ever had was at Burgerville -- their summer Vidalia onions special! If you do go to Fat Burger, you can ask to have your burgers grilled. Yum!
Love Pann's! It's the funkiest place to eat and the people are so nice and the chicken's mmmm ... reminds me of KFC circa 1970s.
